DMS - IMAGO is a Image Cheque Clearing Solution which promises to bring multiple benefits to customers by substantially reducing the time taken to clear the cheques as well as to the banks by enabling them to offer better customer services and increasing operational efficiency by cutting down on overheads in physical clearing.

This is an image-based cheque clearing system where cheque images and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) data are captured at the collecting bank branch and transmitted electronically eliminating the actual cheque movement.

Total Solution for Image Cheque Clearing : DMS - Imago is a total solution for Cheque Image Truncation and Clearing process. It provides an end to end solution for the entire cycle of the Cheque Clearing Process. It posses the ability to handle different types of clearing cycles as required by the National Clearing House (NCH).

Ex. Regular Clearing Cycle, High Value Clearing Cycle or Express Clearing Cycle

User friendly Scanning process:With the use of image capturing device DMS-Imago capture images and the extract the MICR data from cheques and generate the files according to NCH requirements. It facilitates endorsing multiple lines as required on the back of cheque whilst scanning the cheques. DMS-Imago is having the facility to create outward batches with or without stubs / deposit slips.

DMS-Imago having facilities to scan postdated cheques, manage and dispatch the cheques (batches) on value date to outward clearing cycle.

Efficient file Downloading and Uploading capability: DMS-Imago provides automated online or offline file uploading facility to upload files (Outward or Outward Returns) receiving from Branches to NCH without human intervention.

Similarly, it provides identical facility to download files (Inward or Inward Returns) receiving from NCH and distribute the cheques to relevant branches in the bank.

Supports Centralized / Distributed Processing Models: DMS-Imago is designed to support centralized or distributing processing model or a hybrid model. It allows the bank to choose, adopt and change their own model based on requirements.

DMS-Imago having inbuilt Central Clearing Department (CCD) model where CCD will directly link with NCH online or offline.

System having capability to nominate some other branch to process on behalf of them, in cases of lack of infrastructure or a DR situation.

Interfaces to Banking System: DMS-Imago having capability to interface online or offline to bank’s Core Banking System (CBS)/ Signature Verification Systems whilst processing the cheques. This will enable user verifying Account holder’s status (closed, hold, unauthorized etc), Account balance, signature, cheque status (paid, stopped, unauthorized etc).

Extensive Security , Integrity and controls: System facilitate with inbuilt maker checker control to its processing functions.

System having inbuilt comprehensive System administration module to create users, assign rights, teller limits DB backups and restore etc.

DMS-Imago having highest security controls to database and its data. A detailed Audit trail is produced with all the system operations performed.
It also provides the capability to track the internal /duplicate cheques.

User friendliness: DMS-Imago provides comprehensive help facility with short cut keys based /tool bar based functions.
Comprehensive Inquiry and Monitoring Facilities:
System having Comprehensive inbuilt monitoring tools to monitor clearing cycles process at CCD level (whole bank) users or Branch level users.

Warehousing and Archival facility: DMS - Imago is having a comprehensive warehousing and archiving facility. All the images and data processed are stored in such a way that it can be easily accessed for future retrieval.

Parameter Driven: DMS-Imago is highly parameter driven system having comprehensive system settings module to maintain system parameters such as banks, branches, specific clearing cycle settings, image settings, return codes, return charges, holidays etc.
